Installation and Activation Steps

1. Download Copilot4DevOps V3 from the Visual Studio Marketplace (Copilot4DevOps Plus – Work Item Management AI Assistant).

2. Install the extension to your Azure DevOps (ADO) instance.

3. Click Install. The extension will be added to your Shared Extensions in ADO.

4. Go to Organization Settings in ADO. The extension will appear under Installed Extensions.

5. You should see Copilot4DevOps in the Work Item Context Menu. Since Copilot4DevOps V3 is a separate service, two Copilot tabs may appear:

   a. Blue – Copilot4DevOps V2 embedded in Modern Requirements

   b. Purple – Copilot4DevOps V3 standalone service (available from Backlogs, Queries, and Work Item Context Menu)

6. Click the Purple Copilot4DevOps icon to activate Copilot4DevOps V3.

7. An activation window will appear. You can activate using an existing Modern Requirements license key or register for a 30-day trial by completing the registration form.

8. Once activated, Copilot4DevOps V3 will be available and the Copilot dashboard will be displayed.
