1. Use predefined system prompts to perform actions such as creating, reading, updating, or deleting work items, queries, or tasks.

2. You can also manually enter specific commands / Prompts for more granular control over CRUD operations.
Example # 1
• Type "Create an Epic for the topic ‘Introduce Chat feature in the Copilot4DevOps application’, add the title and description on your own." to create a work item.

• Click on the hyperlinked ID/Title to open the created work item in the ADO Editor.

• Whenever a work item creation request is sent, the Chat response will always appear in this format, and along with the work item creation, these two icons Open in module and AI Edit appear.

• Clicking "Open in Module" will present a list of available modules, each associated with specific use cases and operations applicable to the selected work item. By selecting the appropriate module and corresponding action, you can effectively manage and progress the work item within its designated functional context.

• Clicking on the AI Edit option will open the work item in AI Edit and help you refine and customize it as per your requirement.
Note: If you want to know how AI Edit works click here to go through our detailed guide.

Example # 2
• Users can create links between the work items created in the Chat sessions or between any existing links based on their specific criteria.

• Users can create new queries based on their specific criteria (flat list query or tree of work items query, etc.).

Example # 3
• Users can perform various tasks as per their needs — the chat can handle multiple operations, as previously defined. In addition to those, here are a few more capabilities:
• Users can create diagrams within the Chat environment and add into the work item.

• Users can create HTML mockups within the chat environment.

• Users can write code in multiple supported languages in the chat environment, this is shown in the code snippet.

• Users can create documents within the chat environment.

• Users can perform CRUD operations on Wiki pages without leaving chat interface.

Example # 4
• Users can move any work item up and down their order in the backlog.
